The Weaving Room

Master weaver Ed Cothey is a self-procalaimed "fiber-holic" who uses his passion for fiber to create products which are durable, beautiful, useful, and delightful to touch.

Ed has moved his weaving room to his new fair trade shop Tregellys World in Shelburne Falls. Come by and see him!

Currently, he is weaving in the figures of yaks, llamas, the Stupa, Celtic crosses– whatever takes his fancy.

Making these patterns, sometimes as he goes, Ed defines the whole process and outcome of his work as a kind of “creating” which makes aesthetic and moral sense to an ex-fisherman.

Feel free to stop by the weaving room and watch Ed as he works on either the large or smaller looms. You might also get to meet Dhayang who sometimes helps Ed in the Weaving Room.
